Thankfully, we now have the "ability" (get the connection to our blog name?) to use essential oils to protect ourselves from the bugs AND avoid the chemicals!!! In the past, I tried to limit the commercial sprays to our clothing. It is such a relief to feel no stress about spraying it directly onto our skin! Here is my recipe ...
Lori's Natural Bug Spray
For a 2 oz. amber glass spray bottle (you can purchase them here), fill halfway with vodka. Then add the following Young Living Therapeutic-Grade Essential Oils:
- 10 drops of Purification
- 10 drops of Lavender
- 5 drops of Oregano
- 5 drops of Thyme
Please Remember
It is important to know that these are therapeutic-grade essential oils.
Some oils that are available on the market today have potentially
dangerous chemicals in them and should never be inhaled, applied to the
skin, nor ingested.
